Privacy Notice

How we collect, use and protect your personal data.

Notice: this is a preliminary version. It will be reviewed and finalized by a licensed attorney in Mexico before official launch.

1. Data controller

Casana (the 'Platform'), operating in the city of Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico, is responsible for processing your personal data under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).

2. What data we collect

Name and contact details (phone, WhatsApp).
CURP and/or an ID document (INE, passport or residency card) and a selfie, for identity verification.
Profile data: skills, work areas, languages, availability.
Approximate location (postal code or, if you allow it, your device location).
Content you post: reviews, ratings and Forum messages.

3. How we use your data

Create and manage your account.
Verify your identity and display the Verified badge.
Connect workers with households and show profiles in search.
Safety, fraud prevention and community moderation.

4. Who we share data with

We share data only with providers that help us operate, for example: an identity and background verification provider, and a payment processor. Your public profile (name, area, service, verification and rating) is visible to employers. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Your ARCO rights

You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel and Oppose the processing of your personal data (ARCO rights), and to revoke your consent. To exercise them, contact us on WhatsApp at +52 56 2009 9611.

6. Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your account yourself, whenever you want, without asking anyone: open your profile, go to Settings and choose «Delete account». We will ask you to type DELETE to confirm.

It is permanent. We delete your profile, your account data and any sign-in methods you connected (email, phone, Google or Facebook). Your profile leaves Search and the map immediately, and your listings stop receiving replies. You are free to sign up again from scratch whenever you like.

Two things worth knowing: a message you already sent to another member stays in their conversation, the same way a WhatsApp message that already arrived does; and we may keep the minimum the law requires us to keep. None of that makes you visible or reachable on Casana again.

Cannot get into your account? Message us on WhatsApp at +52 56 2009 9611 from the number you signed up with and we will delete it for you.

7. Retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as the law requires. We apply reasonable security measures to protect your information.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use the browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember your language, your session and your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice. We will post the date of the last update on this page.
